I’m an independent photographer living in Austin, Texas.
Band nerd turned photo nerd dropping marching band for a second course of yearbook in high school.
The resume lists two intriguing newspapers: The TCU Daily Skiff wanted to “sail the truth” to the student body in a landlocked state. The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal intended to “bring an avalanche of news” to their readers in a place with no mountains.
My photojournalism career began freelancing for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram while in college attending TCU. In the summer of ’07 I took an internship outside of Baltimore followed up with an eight year stint in the Texas Panhandle. If you get the chance I serious suggest a stop in Amarillo. That little city holds special place in my heart. And yes the 72oz steak is legit but no I haven’t taken on the challenge.

Don’t put a lot of stock in awards but they are nice and I have some. Mostly 1st place awards for sports.
